This study intends on focusing on the significance of the binary genders known as male and female and evaluate whether they are socially constructed. It was decided through the use of fashion photography, to realize a study consisting of photographing and interviewing 64 people of different ages so as to observe, as they grow older within our society if they get influenced by the set gender stereotypes. The question they were asked to answer was "What is a man/woman according to you?" By doing so, the purpose was to raise awareness of the people’s own identity, gender and how they truly want to be presented."
